Inês Figueira is a PhD student at the Molecular Nutrition & Health lab from Instituto de Tecnologia Química e Biológica (ITQB NOVA) and Instituto de Biologia Experimental e Tecnológica (iBET), em Oeiras, Portugal. She is currently a member of the collaborative network COST Action BM1402 – MouseAGE and Dissemination Team leader. Inês holds a degree in Biochemistry and a Master in Molecular Biology & Genetics (FCUL, Portugal). Currently, her work focus on the study of the molecular mechanisms affected by dietary polyphenol metabolites in age-related disorders. To achieve that, Ines takes advantage of human cell models for neurodegenaration, human blood-brain barrier cell model and a human 3D cell model of Parkinson´s disease. So far, Ines has 9 publications in international peer review journals, 7 oral communications and 14 poster presentations.
